lloydd This is fantastic, every bit as good as their first release with a few wrinkels added that spice this baby up. Every song is a journey of twist and turns to a new and distant land. Two vocalists that complement the music. Caustic lead solos, heavy bottom end and drums that give the music their strenght. When first posted no CD's after about a week CD's, I like physical copies, thanks to the band for making the CD's avalable. Great to be able to get lost in the Valley of the Indus King again. Favorite track: A Cold Wind.

Steve Damn great stuff. The songs often travel through multiple genres, like mini songs within the song. Light & heavy, melodic & metallic, I get hooked and pulled through these changes as if by fishing barb hooked in my ear, blood spooling through my fingers as I try to stanch the flow, finally letting go & allowing the musical line to carry me where it would go. Or something. Love this band. And BC for bringing them to me🤘🤘🤘 Favorite track: A Cold Wind.

FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Excellent blend of slurred grunge riffage and stoner fuzz driven by growling bass and punchy drum patterns overlaid with clean powerful vocal melodies, really good!

Clown 04:43
Searching for the perfect Victim of his dreams Hoping for the chance to Break skulls at the seams Shattered trophies Line the basement walls Furrowed and painted Aims to slay them all Lye and acid Blankets of dirt Clown knows he’s the winner Reveling in hurt Shattered trophies Line the basement walls Furrowed and painted Aims to slay them all Searching for the perfect Victim of his dreams Gacy takes a prisoner And buries his misdeeds Shattered trophies Line the basement walls Furrowed and painted Aims to slay them all

Fallout blankets mother Seeps beneath her earth Caskets come asunder As bodies yield their berth And the dead shall rise It’s Man’s demise And the dead shall rise Hear the anguished cries Scores of spoiling March across the land Hunger for living flesh Humanity’s remand And the dead shall rise It’s Man’s demise And the dead shall rise Hear the anguished cries Fallout blankets father Scours and burns his earth Soulless creatures hunting Survivors of this curse

A Cold Wind 08:19
The wind is blowing cold A young man is growing old Lines upon his face Reflect a time he can’t retrace Cold wind will freeze Catching your breath no longer breathe Cold wind will end Everything you hoped to see again The moon will always rise Upon the weak and the wise As bodies turn to clay New generations make their way Cold wind will freeze Catching your breath no longer breathe Cold wind will end Everything you hoped to see again The wind is blowing cold It’s robbed us of our souls We pray for times of grace But the tempest seals our fate Cold wind will freeze Catching your breath no longer breathe Cold wind will end Everything you hoped to see again Everything you hoped to see Everything you hoped to see Everything you hoped to see again

Hell to Pay 05:03
You may think I’m on my way Like I planned on yesterday But I’m not going near your way No matter what you do or say All I ever owned was mine The message lies in between the lines Try to ignore the warning signs Still you’re not going to waste my time Way too much has gone away Faded into yesterday No longer will I beg to play When there is no more Hell to pay All I ever owned was mine The message lies in between the lines Try to ignore the warning signs Still you’re not going to waste my time You’re not going away I’m not going to wait You’re not going away I’m not going to wait You’re not going to waste my time You’re not going to waste my time I’m not going to wait this time You’re not going to waste my time

When you look too far Your eyes will leave here scarred Try to blind your sight ‘Til darkness hides the light Everyone must learn Our skin is born to burn Forever meant to run On the dark side of the sun We were meant to run We were meant to run Dark side of the sun Dark side of the sun Always on the run Dark side of the sun

Demon Beast 04:23
Up until the afternoon the demon lays to rest Weary eyes begin to see existence meaningless Poisoned powered capsules work so quick to penetrate Coma breath that lies near death allows more time to wait Just you wait Unhallowed from a plastic bag to cement the gaping hole Welcoming what's overwhelming intoxicated soul The calling of the outer world heard when the sun comes down Through empty spaces isolation the desperate can be found Can be found The jagged edge of sick belief pumps blood through grinding teeth Through sudden pleasures sharp release The Demon gives in to the Beast Beneath the son lies those who never cared They use violent ways to find a moment's peace To chase them down or keep them running scared It's the only way to see she ate the Beast

Drowned 04:52
Waves of grief and anguish Crash upon the shore Steely eyes are weeping Destiny obscured Drowning - in the dread Voices - in my head Currents rise and fall And amplify our tears Tidal waves of misery Deepening our fears Drowning - in the dread Voices - in my head Drowning - in the dread Voices - in my head Dam of emotions Bursts, releasing pain Freedom comes at a heavy price Agony’s constrained Drowning - in the dread Voices - in my head Drowning - in the dread Voices - in my head

Sky King 06:13
Sky King - Sky King Radiance beams out of the sky Incandescent lights in their eyes Brilliant colors seep from on high Eminence flows from inside Sky King - Heaven Sings Splendor sparkles out from the night Phosphorescence flames do delight Beacon of perpetual sight Illuminating all in its might Sky King - Sky King I am the darkness I extinguished your day I carry the weight of the night and its pain Worship what I am and all I will be Bow down in reverence to the blackness in me Sky King - Sky King Sky King - Reign Above Everything

REVIEWS for ‘Origin’, by Indus Valley Kings

Games, Brrraaains & a Head-Banging Life: “An album with so much variety, so many shifts and twists, that it’s not exclusively for one genre fan or another. Sure, stoner fans will probably find themselves sitting the most comfortably while listening to it but it’s absurd to suggest metal and rock fans in general won’t find reasons to groove and move to a least a handful of tracks here." www.gbhbl.com/album-review-indus-valley-kings-origin-self-released/

MonsterRiff.com: "In their latest release, Origin, the band members have pushed themselves, and they’ve successfully avoided the sophomore slump with something as fresh as it is exciting...Origin feels fresh at every turn because it’s entirely unpredictable, making every song a new, fresh discovery in the Indus Valley Kings kingdom." monsterriff.com/2022/06/10/indus-valley-kings-origin-album-review/

In Your Eyes 'zine : "'Origin" is a very interesting and varied album that will be loved by smoky heads looking for the right refreshment for the mind. A group that is doing remarkable things and is a candidate for disc of the year...” www.iyezine.com/indus-valley-kings-mirror-queen-fatso-jetson-deep-space-mask?fbclid=IwAR03TZ1uqp2kPxJHhxCyglr3hSy0D1RDlzi-oGuSRn0OqluBJO4Dg7PFoiQ

BuzzSlayers Blog: “This was endless rock fun, and we suggest it to anyone that loves real deal doom, grunge, classic rock, garage and fuzztone with smart songwriting. Crank this one and enjoy it.” www.buzzslayers.com/post/indus-valley-kings-release-a-massive-rock-opus

Prism Reviews: “If you resonate with (or at least are intrigued by) the darkness, Indus Valley Kings aim to please & swing for a homerun on their second doom metal album. To some listeners, I would think, they definitely succeed in hitting it out of the park.” prismreviews.wordpress.com/2022/07/06/indus-valley-kings-origin/?fbclid=IwAR2Ff9_ChGW01tLKQt-VlDCaOsoLUrn3qbK31ccFX0aqbJ-1wYzSstade6E

Stoner Hive: "An inspiring album full iron strong songs, not polished, but rough, raw and dirty. It gives the album depth and adds even more color to a record filled to the brim with variation and surprise. Origin is quite a bang and it should definitely get a big roar and a huge amount of respect…“ stonerhive.blogspot.com/search/label/Indus%20Valley%20Kings

State of Guitars: “On their second release, they take no prisoners…the band pulls out all the stops of heavy rock, adding clean guitars, double bass, drum rolls and solos like from classic pioneers Deep Purple or Black Sabbath.” stateofguitars.net/indus-valley-kings-indus-valley-kings/

Harbinger of D.O.O.M.: "As with their eponymous debut, Origin will be a permanent staple on my metal/doom/stoner playlist and it should undeniably make it to yours. Pick up this gem of an album and let the Kings take you on a trip you’ll want to retake over and over." harbingerofdoom1.blogspot.com/2022/06/review-indus-valley-kings-origin.html

CaveDwellerMusic.net: “Overall, I was even more impressed with this second release than the band's debut, which is saying something because I thought their debut was fantastic. If you want quality heavy/fuzzy music with a unique twist to it, then this is the album for you.” cave-dweller-music.myfreesites.net/reviews/post/1879091/albums-worth-your-time-terror-cosmico-cavernlight-izthmi-electric-cult-zeresh-and-more

Musipedia of Metal: “The Indus Valley Kings are under no illusions about their influences…Sabbath worship is replete in these darkened corners of the metal world; what sets these Kings apart is that Iommi's tone isn't the be all and the end all; it's merely the starting point for the Indus Valley King's unique brand of mythic, revelatory Desert-Doom.” musipediaofmetal.blogspot.com/2022/06/reviews-michael-monroe-indus-valley.html

Desert Psychlist: "You cannot pin a convenient label on a band like IVK, they are a band who like to defy convention and rules, a band who will constantly shift the focus of a song away from its starting point to take it somewhere else entirely, bringing it back only to once again go off on another unexpected tangent, maybe they should of just called the album "ORIGINAL" stonerking1.blogspot.com/2022/06/indus-valley-kings-origin-review.html?fbclid=IwAR0BCJ1DVmr_G84v_3XnHPfLgk0yI3SuLAAKW3llOJiASrKz3ZokT8_F8c8&m=1&fs=e&s=cl

Slavestate Magazine: “Instead of, as usual, going into doom and Electric Wizard-land, they have instead moved towards punk and psychedelia, which gives the record and the songs a rather unique sound, although for that reason you never feel lost in IVK's riff-happy, trailing tongue and delightfully dusty company.” www.slavestate.se?e=5307&fbclid=IwAR0Dc7NeqcqeaoNUqFvdbC8QTStHtO5RmzZlKsRctxUCqQ6GvJAulpHuzqk

LaHabitacion235: “The alternations of the power trio through courses such as doom or grunge are, without a doubt, the great showcase that will capture the attention of many as they take a walk through the most nostalgic confines stored in our heads.” www.lahabitacion235.com/musica/novedades/indus-valley-kings-origin-2022.html?fbclid=IwAR1tEzyD1xi7Hj9T99iPyylAiFPugNucKpSpRocRfTjuLa75nbuUcYwetWg

SoundMagnet: “Anyone who likes it off the dusty stoner path should check out the New Yorkers from Indus Valley Kings." www.soundmagnet.eu/indus-valley-kings-stoner-rock-aus-new-york-empfehlung-der-redaktion/

Outlaws of the Sun: “Origin is a wonderfully different album and it’s good to have an “EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED” attitude with this record. Excellent and Highly Recommended.” outlawsofthesun.blogspot.com/2022/08/indus-valley-kings-origins-album-review.html

The Sounds Won’t Stop: “Indus Valley Kings has the stuff of great arena rock legends, and this record shows it. You get riffs that are new takes on sounds you grew up with, you get tracks you can sing right along with, you get choruses you can bang your head to." www.thesoundswontstop.com/indus-valley-kings
